Field use Requirement

All pilots and participating guest MUST have a waiver of liability on file in order to participate in ANY event or activity at Hodges Field.


Liability waivers must be completed at a minimum yearly (At the first visit of the year).

Only hard copies will be accepted, no digital.

Waivers are provided at the field or print and fill out.

Waiver sign in/drop box is located under the main shed.

Field Rules

All R/C pilots must be a member of the AMA and follow the Safety Code

Hodges Field is a FAA certified FRIA site.

All pets must be on a leash and picked up after.

The pet owner assumes all liability for bringing a pet onto the property.

NO Cigarette butts on the ground

If a cigarette butt is found on the ground the responsible party will be asked to leave.

All motorized vehicles

All motorized vehicles will be driven by persons over 16 years old or have an adult on board.

Persons bringing motorized vehicles on to the property assume full liability.

10 Mph Max speed

All motorized vehicles driving at the field must maintain a speed lower than 10 mph.

Use of Fireworks

No fireworks allowed more than 1 hour past sunset.

All debris must be cleaned up within 24hrs.

Pond

-No swimming 

-No jet skis allowed 

-No wakeboarding or any other activity 

-Please stay out of the pond and contact Mac if anything is needed to be retrieved

Signed Waiver on file

3rd Party Liability Insurance is Required

-Insurance is required before any flight or ground activity can occur 

-Proof of insurance shall be emailed to kaircraft700@gmail.com before arrival on site 

-A minimum of 1M of liability coverage is required 

-If flying with a passenger, insurance must also cover passenger liability 

-The following is only a recommendation of where insurance (excluding passengers) can be obtained:

Operating Rules

-Keep runway clear (Remove equipment from field ASAP after flight)

-Only setup immediately before launching 

-Coordinate with other pilots including R/C pilots before flight

-After launch get up and out (leave the area to make room for others to safely launch or land)

-Always yield right of way to landing pilots

-Always maintain traffic pattern when over the field 

-Tandem Flights are to comply with all aspects of the USPPA FAA Tandem Exemption (Including having the USPPA authorization and FAA exemption on hand). 

-Keep vehicles, equipment, pets and people off the runway unless directly involved in flight operations 

-Monitor CTAF: 122.8 if radio equipped, check all NOTAMS and weather before operations 

-If not under supervision of an USPPA certified instructor all pilots must be USPPA PPG2 or greater 

USPPA

Pilots SHALL NOT do the following:

-Fly low over or harass neighbors, people or animals

-Perform aerobatic maneuvers over Hodges Field 

-Fly without permission, insurance or signed waiver
